Market America: What’s The Real Truth About This Company? Three Things You Should Know
Posted in success in MLM on July 30th, 2011 by adminIn your research on Market America, you’ve probably come across many different articles. At this point, you need to make sure you can differentiate between the articles that contain the right information versus the ones that contain the wrong information. I ran into one of the ones that has the wrong information just today – and it was SO wrong, I just had to laugh!
Then I stopped and thought, what if there are other people out there, like yourself, who want to really learn about this company but think that this article was true? That would be terrible! It’s completely unfair that someone would post an article that had false information just so they could rank their site on the search engines.
I personally think it’s fair and ETHICAL to give people the truth, and to give them facts that help them decide for themselves, not lies that try to sway them away from something they might already want to do. I’m sure that’s what YOU’RE looking for, right?
Hopefully you’ve looked into the company on your own a little bit at this point. Maybe you’ve looked at the products or the website, and seen the compensation plan. Though you’re still unsure about it all, and you’re probably skeptical to a certain degree.
Keep in mind, it’s ok to be skeptical! It’s totally normal to feel that way when you’re looking at something that could change your whole life. You wouldn’t invest in anything else without doing your due diligence, so why would this be any different?
It’s not that you’re being skeptical then, it’s that you’re being wise. Excellent decision.
There are three things you need to know about Market America in comparison to other network marketing companies. These are VERY important to understand, because it’s what separates the true facts from the false statements.
Market America, first of all, is not a multi-level marketing (MLM) company. There’s nothing wrong with MLM, but this company just isn’t. Many people believe that it is because they use a networking model to build the business, but since there are no “levels”, they just can’t be considered MLM.
In most MLM’s, as a distributor you earn a certain percentage of commission from each “level” of distributors in your organization, and that percentage decreases as you go down each level. On the other hand, Market America has no “levels”, so you earn the same amount of commission from each distributors sales in your whole business.
Next, you need to know that Market America specializes in product brokerage. What this means is that all the products they sell are manufactured by another company, and as long as it’s in demand Market America will sell it. Once a product is no longer in demand, they just stop selling it, and they don’t eat the costs of manufacturing.
Also, their website, which they call the “Mall Without Walls”, sells millions more products from some very well known stores, and as a distributor you can earn commissions from these sales as well.
Finally, Marketamerica.com’s whole business model relies on moving products to consumers, not recruiting tons of new business partners. Actually, the company sells more than 70% of it’s products to customers, not distributors. This, in turn, makes Market America’s compensation plan among the most stable, profitable, and sustainable of any company out there.
Although the FTC and US Government require that direct sales, MLM’s, and network marketing companies sell at least 70% of their products to customers, most do not operate this way.
MOST of these companies do not have many customers at all, in fact. Most of them do not distinguish between a customer and a distributor, because they are one and the same. This sets a compensation plan up for failure, because if distributors are the only ones who buy the product, and then the company has to turn around and pay them a commission, there is not enough excess revenue to sustain commissions for all the distributors involved.
Marketamerica.com earns 70% or more of its revenue from just customers – people who do not also get paid for selling their products. Because of this, distributors in the company will earn a sustainable income.
These are three VERY important things to know about this company in the midst of all the misinformation out there. However, no matter what company you decide to align yourself with, you need the right marketing training to be really successful.
