Market To A Niche, You’ll Be Rich

There is a saying out there that says “Market to all the folk, you’ll go broke…market to a niche, you’ll be rich.”

This is a very important concept that marketers need to understand, that alot of times is overlooked. We all understand, that when you first join your network marketing business, or business in general how excited you are. You start to think of all the money you will make, what you are going to do with it, who you’re going to spend it on, and how your life will be made better as a whole. However, it is very easy to forget that everyone is not your target audience, and if you are marketing online, like I sure hope you are, you want to market to a very specific group of persons.

A mentor once told me that in order to be successful with marketing, you must have or create your “USP”. Unique Selling Proposition. Because when a person buys a product from you, when a person joins you in business, they aren’t joining that company per sey, they are joining you. They bought a product or joined you in business because they like you. You are always selling you before your MLM business or product every day of the week. So you must create your USP.

And all the USP is how are you going to stand out from your competitors, why should someone join you in business versus another upline leader. What are you going to do special for them? How are you going to help them? How are you going to make doing business with you better than with someone else? And this is important. It sets you aside from everyone else, but you must zero in on what that is for you, and who your target audience is.

Say you are a a middle aged woman, who has lots of offline experience in MLM, and has recently figured a few things out online, and so now your target audience could be to those “old school” marketers who know next to nothing about marketing online, and how you were once them, and can show them the way. Maybe you have a ebook, or a video on the first steps they should take to establishing a brand for themselves. Whatever the situation is, you must sit down, and figure out who you are talking to, and write your articles, emails, sales copy to that one specific person (target audience) and you will have much more positive results than you trying to reach the masses.

You will be able to establish a better connection with your list once this is achieved, and receive higher conversion rates. But if you keep trying to market to everyone, you are really marketing to no one. You must zero in on a specific group, and go deep with them. Speak about the experiences that you have had that they too have possibly had and connect with your readers. Without specifying who those folks are, you will not be able to do that as effectively as you could.

Network Marketing – The seed, the pod and the plate full of beans

Jack’s mum was not very impressed when Jack came home with three bean seeds in exchange for a cow. They were struggling for money and needed extra cash. Jacks mum was so unimpressed that she took the seeds and threw them out the window in disgust.

So where did it all go wrong, Who made the biggest mistake – Jack or his mum?

A bean seed is an amazing thing. When planted it can grow into a plant that produces 25 to 50 pods, each of which can contain 5 or more bean seeds. 125 to 250 or more beans (seeds) can be produced from the planting of 1 single bean seed. Plant 2 Bean seeds and you could have 500 or more seeds.

If Jacks mum had of planted the 3 Bean seeds (assuming they were NOT magical :o ), and expected the same average results mentioned above, They could have expected 375 to 750 bean seeds. If they held off eating them for the first year and planted the 750 seeds the following season they could have expected 150,000 bean seeds or more to plant in the third year.

Plants have an amazing way of duplicating themselves to ensure their survival.

It was obviously, wrong of Jack to trade a cow for a measly 3 bean seeds but having done so, it was possible to look at the situation and try to duplicate those Bean seeds into a profitable Bean venture within 3 to 5 years.

The obvious similarities to the Network Marketing Model should not be underestimated. Not just in the duplication example but the whole process.

Like Jacks family, when people join a Network Marketing Business they are often struggling financially and use a small portion of whatever savings they may have to purchase a business. A business that “may” work (like trading the cow for the beans) only to find out they don’t WANT to do it a week later and throw the business kit out the window (as with the seeds).

If only they had planted a few seeds (sponsored some representatives) fed them with support, training and encouragement And assisted them in duplicating the same way you did. Within a few years they would have seen the duplication of their efforts begin to kick in.

* Become an author. You should seek out opportunities to contribute articles to local and even national publications and news outlets. Become a celebrity, because you “choose” to take the high road and not for personal “glory.”
* Volunteer in local community groups as a speaker; join those with which you feel an affinity. Local Rotary, Kiwanis, and Lions, etc. are continually in need of speakers for their weekly meetings and agendas. If you like a certain group, join and volunteer to contribute and/or lead.

MLM Industry, Stay Away, Really?

The MLM Industry has received a negative connotation over the years. Many
negative articles have been written on how one should stay away from the MLM
industry. I would like to make note of a number of definite advantages to
having or belonging to an MLM company.

#1. The risk is very small. In comparison to starting up, let’s say, a new
Subway store in the corner strip mall, which can be in the hundreds of thousands,
the cost of starting up an MLM business can be as little as $29.95. There are
many, many MLM businesses that you can join for less that $100.

#2. Most MLM Companies do not require any employees. You are an independent
contractor in MLM. As an independent contractor, you are your own boss and
make all the decisions regarding your business. You do not have to meet a
weekly payroll or worry about insurance and taxes for your employees. It frees
you up to concentrate on your MLM business.

#3. You can create a residual income. If you are successful in marketing your
MLM Company and develop a network of followers, and have a good product or
service, you can develop a residual income that, in many cases, can last into
future generations.

#4. There is a demand for quality products. As a general rule, MLM Companies
have a good reputation for creating good quality products and services. The
demand for these products and services is huge. The key to this advantage
is for you to take the time to research the MLM industry and find the one that
has the product or service that you can get excited about, one that has good
leadership and marketability and then go out and promote it.

#5. You are not required to stock an inventory. Some MLM companies require that
you have a small amount of stock but in today’s market of overnight shipping and
internet access to these companies, you do not have to stock an large inventory.
Some MLM companies do not require you to stock anything.

#6. There is a low operating cost to you. Because you do not have to stock any
inventory or have any employees, the operating cost can be very low. You can
operate out of your home from your home office desk or even from the kitchen
table. The tax advantages can be of benefit also.

#7. The income potential in MLM is huge. If you have a product or service that
is in demand, if you can learn to market that product or service and network
with others in helping them do the same, the potential is huge. More millionaires
have been developed in the MLM industry that any other industry in the world.

#8. Leverage. The nature of MLM is to network. When you develop a network of
people you are able to leverage your time and even talents to your benefit.
You reap the rewards of your leverage and create a win-win situation for you
and your company.

#9. Your MLM Company is portable. With the availability of internet and cell
phones, you are able to do your business from anywhere in the world. The only
thing that your really need is a telephone and an internet connection. Those
two things are located on the beaches or the mountain tops or even from your own
kitchen table, making it one of the most attractive industries in the world.

#10. You can obtain freedom. It will take a lot of hard work and effort on your
part. The MLM Industry does not create instant millionaires. You must put in

Is The Sizzle Gone From Your Network Marketing Business?

Let’s face it, there are times when we AVOID building our network marketing business.

I know it sounds strange and funny, but it happens.

Sometimes, it just gets boring hitting your head against the wall (or against the kitchen table, or your computer screen) trying to figure out “how to make it work”. We get in a rut and get tired of it all. All we need at times is to change up your routine and get a little inspiration.

Here are a couple things you easily do to help get that spark back in your network marketing business.

- Do some professional reading to perhaps spark an idea or two in your business.

- Go network with other successful people in your company. Often times, the best source of “how to” build a great business isn’t straight from your upline, but from others who have done what you want to in your business.

- Go network with other successful people NOT in your company. Sometimes companies can get kind of, well, forlack of a better phrase “in-bred” in terms of “this is the way you gotta build your business”.

(Can you hear the tune of the movie “Deliverance” in the background? )

Especially larger, more established companies. Go find someone who has built a large network marketing business in another company…go buy him/her a cup of coffee and pick their brain.

If there isn’t someone in your area, give someone a call and say, “Hey I like what you did in your business, can I pick your brain?” Offer them something easy in return, like a written testimonial to help them grow THEIR business.

- Head over to Meetup.com and attend a meeting about a topic you want to learn about. Here is a secret of mine, I LOVE to go to meetup.com meetings (and no, its not a dating site). I’ve gone to quite a few internet marketing meetings and learned a ton about how both real brick and mortar businesses and full up internet business grow their business online.

For me, one example here was that I learned a TON about PPC marketing from a dude who sell strangely
enough Ebooks on how to install solar panels.

However The Global Information Network appears to operate in only one language – English, so anyone you refer would have to read and speak English it seems like. If you only bring in one person a month, and you are a part of their membership program, you would only net $50/month (after the $150 monthly dues) – so figure out how many people you would need to bring on board, to meet your personal financial goals. Don’t count on making $200 from the sales of the people you refer, as they may not choose to participate in the affiliate program, or they may not be successful with the affiliate program should they choose to market The Global Information Network.

Can You Make Money with The Global Information Network?

If your goal is that of seeking knowledge from a global group of successful people, you may learn tips, strategies, and techniques to making money on your own. You also have the fall back option of utilizing their affiliate program to make a couple hundred bucks for referring people, and the members your people bring on. This is by no means a get rich quick program, and you have to budget in $150 a month, but if you can learn to utilize online and attraction marketing, you should be able to make money quickly with this or any program.

More specific they buy the hope that your product will help them with their problem. You will be the solution provider. This is exactly what the third element in growing your MLM business is.

3. Get leads. The lifeline of your business is leads. You can either purchase leads from listbrokers. Now you need to know your target audience and understand the benefits of your products, otherwise you will not be able get good quality leads, with high conversation rates. 4. Position yourself as an expert.
