I believe that to write on a certain topic and truly teach it correctly, you must be able to come from a perspective of experience. You should study the best practices on that topic, and know EXACTLY what works and what doesn’t at that moment in order to really break it down for your student.
Please keep this in mind when reading this short but informative article because I know it will help you in your marketing efforts. I will speak only from my experiences, because I hope that your business (whether it be multi-level marketing, sales, network marketing, internet marketing, or home business) will benefit and be taken to the next level by understanding what I’m teaching in this article.
So, you are an entrepreneur and are taking consistent action to market your business…You know that this is the only way to get your name out there and start generating leads, prospects, sales, etc.
What little time you have you are spending on using social media, posting on forums, putting videos on YouTube, creating pay-per-click campaigns, and writing articles.
You REALLY want to make it big in your business, don’t you???!!!
The following are my ‘Success Guidelines’ that you really should follow when you begin doing marketing and advertising in your business.
Keep in mind that these guidelines have allowed me to become one of the top leaders, earners and most knowledgeable people in my industry.
I tell you this not to impress you, but to impress upon you that if you follow what I say here, you can become the same in your industry. They are principles and strategies that are not exclusing to network marketing – they can apply to ANY business.
Magnetic Marketing:
You want to create marketing that draws your ideal prospects to you, and not the other way around. This can be very easy to do.
Remember this statement: “Nobody who bought a drill ever really wanted a drill. They wanted a hole. Therefore, if you want to sell drills, you should deliver information about making holes, not about drills!”
A prospect who ‘finds’ you first is more likely to buy from you than if you find him or her, because his or her perception of you is VERY different. You are looked upon as an expert and NOT as a slick and sneaky sales person.
For example, has your doctor EVER called you, just out of nowhere, and tried to sell you on a new drug or vitamin?
Absolutely not!
He doesn’t seek you out. Instead, you go to him or her. And when you do see the doctor, he tells you what you need to do to cure an ailment and you follow his word without question, right?
What if they advised you to lose weight, or else your life was at risk? Or that you need big time surgery? Or that you need to get professional help from a personal training, physical therapist, etc.
You get my drift.
You are more than likely to follow the doctors orders and pay good money for it in the process. The point is that you end up taking the advice, no matter how painful or inconvenient it is.
Now, ask yourself this question:
Do your customers respect you as much as they respect their doctor? Why is that? They don’t have a closer relationship with you than their doctor, do they?
Your doctor is educated in his field. Now don’t forget – YOU are educated in YOUR field as well. You have studied your industry, your products, your marketing. Your doctor has, too. So then why don’t your prospects see you the way they see their doctor?
I say that it’s ‘Positioning v. Prospecting’.
Positioning makes all the difference. You might seek out a doctor because they are seen as the expert in their particular practice. People follow experts, leaders, and people of knowledge. Frankly, you NEED to copy the way doctors position themselves and market their services.
You see, most people in the Home Business Industry and Internet Marketing space just imitate their competitors, and everyone just gets more and more stupid every year because no one is willing to take a stand and make things better and more productive.
It truly is SAD! That’s why I named this article what I did. And I am on a mission to change this sad fact. To be the most successful entrepreneur you can be, you HAVE to set yourself apart from the masses.
